American College of Rheumatology
The ACR is a professional organization of rheumatologists focused mainly on prevention, healing and curing arthritis, as wel as other related disabling disorders. The organization offers several means for professionally educating its members, such as meetings devoted to rheumatic diseases, publication of scientific journals and papers, and a division of the ACR called the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals, for non-physician health care professionals specializing in rheumatology.
The Arthritis Society
A good resource for individuals looking for information and further methods of eduating themselves about arthritis. The site includes a listing of types of arthritis, and resources and options for managing pain and living well. There are also sections on arthritic research and listings of programs and resources throughout Canada.
